"Luck be a Lady tonight"

This weekend stood out to me because I seemed to have a windfall of good luck.

On Friday I went to put money on my metro card. There was a transaction going on- but no one around. I waited around for a few minutes and cancelled the transaction. I was shocked when a $20 bill popped out at me! I waited around for another few minutes and took the money to the control station. They told me to keep it because they don't have a lost and found for money.

Later that day my boss called and asked if Luke and I wanted to go to the baseball game with her and her husband. The people who bought the tickets cancelled. These seats were amazing! 26 rows from the field, between third plate and home base. It was awsome! Luke was in heaven. I discovered that I'm really afraid of fly balls when they come anywhere near me. We had a great time.

On Saturday Luke called me and said that we were going to the Symphony. Another friend of ours was leaving town and has season tickets- so he gave them to us. I saw a Verdi Overture and an amazing Pagannini Concerto. I've never seen violin playing like this. The second half was a crazy piece called Final Alice, following the last chapter of Alice in Wonderland. It's a crazy book, and the music was equally crazy. There was a Soprano soloist singing and doing spoken narration. She took the crazy to a whole new level! Pigtails, sparkly dress. It was hilarious. We had a good time.

Now I'm at work (my last day of retail ever). We have more plans tonight to celebrate the graduation of a friend of mine. I'll recover on Monday.

All of it sounds like a dream!!! Ahh, I can't wait for another good old American symphony again.

And more specifically, your quote is from Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, of course. One of the best musicals EVER!

I knew that you would get this one D! To be fair- Frank Sinartra did cover that song as well. So you both win.
