All kinds of exiting things have been happening on DC, and I thought it was time for an update.
1. My position at Middle C Music is changing. I'm leaving the retail aspect of my job completly and focusing on teaching. I'm so happy- this means no more 10 hour days! It also means that I will go from working 6 days a week to 4. I could say that I don't know what I'm going to do with myself- but I do. I'm going to join a gym and loose weight. I'm also going to do more housework (more on that later), and plan my music classes....which brings me to
2. I'm starting a small buisness! I am going to teach music classes for young children. I have my cirriculem and and going to spend the summer making sure every class is set, as well as buying materials. I'm going to do this teaching at Kendra's dance studio and at Middle C. I completly terrified- to the point of being a bit irrational. I know that I can teach, but something about having a lot of kids at the same time, and having their mothers/nannies there as well completly freaks me out.
I'm trying to think of a name for my little venture. It should be one or two words and involve the concepts of kids and music/rhythm. Any ideas?
3. Luke is also starting a small buisness! He is going to be selling/applying an organinc, environmentally/baby friendly fertilizer to lawns in the area. He is starting his test lawns today. We are also trying to figure out a name for his buisness, so this should be a great post for all those creative types. Because Luke is going to stay at his job full time in addition to his new venture, the timing for me to cut my hours back was great. He's been doing all the cooking and cleaning for the last two years, and I think we are both ready to switch roles again.
Matt got my last quote- can he do it again? Hint- it's from a movie I've already quoted from on this blog.

I believe this one is from Empire Records. Seems like it would fit. It's not from any of the others you have quoted from before. I really must see this movie. Gee, I wish I could help you with the names, but I am terrible at that! They are always cute, but TERRIBLY corny. I'l ask Ell, tough, he's good with that sort of thing. Exciting things for you two and your businesses. Here's to great starts and long runs!
Dena for the win! You and El would LOVE Empire Records (a little content, but not that bad)
I'll take any suggestions, no matter how corny. My clientele is the baby einstein crowd, so I'm not sure I could be to corny. Anyway- thanks for the post D. I miss you!
