To drained to come up with a clever quote

It's been quite a week.

Last Tuesday we got a phone call from Luke's mom. Chad, Luke's best friend, died. He had been sick for a long time, so there wasn't a shock element, but it will hurts. He was about to get married.

We left Thursday to head up to Canada for the funeral. It was nice to head back up there, even under those circumstances. We haven't seen Luke's family for about 2 years, so it was great to see them. Sarah's girls have gotten a lot bigger, and cuter. They managed to get me on a sled, in the snow. Yes there is something that will make me interact with cold and snow, apparently it's 3 year olds calling me "Aunt Lindy".

It was a pretty good weekend with them. Luke's parents watched the Oscars with me, and even got into it a little bit. I didn't do quite as well this year with my predictions, but still beat Luke (which is all that really matters).

We came home Tuesday, just in time for dance class. I got my recital costumes today. They are hilarious! I get to wear a pillbox hat for the tap number- I'm so exited.

Anyway- that was my week. All the good and all the bad seem to be canceling each other out leaving be feeling kind of ambiguous in general.

So sorry to hear about Luke's friend. No matter how or when, death hurts.

And did I know you were taking dance lessons? Since when? Are you doing more than tap? Ell and I are on diets now (I've already lost 15 pounds). My reward to myself if I succeed is a ballet class-I miss it. But no way I will let others see me in a leotard without smaller thighs and a flatter tummy. No one wants to see a hippo do ballet except in Fantasia.

Hey, I'm really starting to miss you! Where have you gone? I know it's little bit pot and kettle, since I'm also a little sporatic in blog updating, but I still miss you.
